- 96 layers of corrugated cardboard vs. 50 layers in same dimensional area of a comparable popular scratcher from a leading brand
- Modular reusable design: stack 2 or 3 scratchers to build a custom tower with elevated pods and perches - no additional tools or attachments needed
- Instead of recycling, use a well-loved scratcher as your tower base (heavily scratched surfaces will be naturally hidden)
- Tight weave (wavy center, or “flute”) within heavy-duty cardboard provides healthy resistance for satisfying clawing
- Curbside recyclable and made of recycled cardboard using non-toxic glue
- For human/cat play: create a natural obstacle course by letting your cat hunt inside, up and over both pieces, or to switch it up, turn pieces upright to make a tunnel (we especially love using it with fishing pole-style toys)
- Tips for encouraging scratcher use:
- Sprinkle on catnip or treats, or place favorite toys on or near it
- Drag a stick toy or your own (human) claws along to make sound and capture interest
- Set in front of tempting scratching spots like furniture or curtains
- Never physically set your cat on or force them to engage with a product
- Test different placement locations - for cats, where is often more important than what
